Designing by Peter Scheyer
Peter Schreyer, former design chief at Audi, was the one to work on the Cadenza. It has been acclaimed as one of the most well engineered superb looking high end cars to be rolled out in the decade. Schreyer is one of the top names in the world when it comes to designing cars. Schreyer’s designs primarily target to achieve fuel efficiency through streamlining the car’s body. Powerful engines are also part of the strategy, so that buyers can experience the effortless throttle besides experiencing the low fuel consumption advantage. Cadenza has already found the stature of a promising luxury sedan that was long awaited from Kia, and with its latest launch market experts predict that the corporation never had a brighter future!
Production and engineering
Production of the Cadenza was started in 2009, and is expected to arrive in the European markets by end of 2011. Korea has already arrived in the launching phase expected in 2010. The engineering behind the car is includes a McPherson front suspension which is a family of suspension designs used in the FIAT models since the mid 1920’s. The cars are powerful and run with a minimum horsepower of 165 in the 2.4L model. Using Gasoline Direct Injection, the 2.4L model (Theta II) also has a 201 horsepower variation for buyers looking for a little extra. With close to 300 horsepower gasoline engines are manufactured for the 3.5L Lambda V6.
The model is known to serve more than 10km per liter of gasoline in prime condition. Like most other Kia cars, fuel efficiency is expected to last a considerable while even as the car gets older. You would want this as one of the best assets of your car, and this factor promises many buyers to swipe out their money when the Cadenza will arrive in stores across US and Canada. The car is a perfect one if you were to replace your luxury sports car, or sell it. The longer hood provides for an unexpectedly lavish look, that you wouldn’t really expect so much in Kia cars.
